a note from our founder

Hi!! After working in fashion tech, I felt a gap in the services that actually help people get dressed day to day. We have influencers to recommend outfits they’re most likely getting paid to pose in, expensive personal shoppers and out of reach celebrity stylists, and a growing number of AI based apps that can recommend clothing based on learned patterns, but not the rhythm of every day life and the emotions that often come with it.

Enter: The Cult Edit. I love fashion. I’ve always found a lot of identity in the historical significance of different trends, in the power it gives you to subvert expectations or layer cultural references until your outfit feels like a perfect amalgamation of you. But there’s a lot of other parts involved with getting dressed, too. There’s the chaos of online shopping, the need to factor in body type, the ever present trend cycle, and the strain all of that puts on ones budget.

I’ve found a lot of confidence in developing my personal style, and I want others to feel the same way. The Cult Edit is a method to help people curate their wardrobe, from getting rid of the things that don’t serve them, to identifying key pieces to purchase for their daily lives or important events.

I want having a personal stylist, who actually gives you the tools to get dressed with confidence, to feel accessible and fun.
